MY SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL EXPERIENCE
I am Jimuel Dacaymat Mabansag, 16 years old, and I live in Brgy. Pangdan. Currently a EIM(Electrical Installation and Maintenance) student in Pangdan National High School.
High school is one of the most memorable chapters in a person’s life. For me, being an Electrical Installation and Maintenance (EIM) student has shaped not only my skills but also my character. Looking back, I realize that my high school journey was not just about academics but also about growth, friendship, and discovering my path in life.
Taking EIM was both exciting and challenging. At first, I was intimidated by the tools, wirings, and the technical lessons. But as time went on, I learned to appreciate the importance of every activity. Our hands-on tasks taught me patience, precision, and discipline. There were days when I struggled, but every mistake became a chance to learn. It felt fulfilling whenever I successfully finished a project or solved a wiring problem.
EIM also gave me practical knowledge that I know I can use in real life. It’s not just about passing subjects—it’s about having a skill that I can carry even after graduation.
One thing that made my high school life even more special was having the same classmates throughout the years. We laughed together, stressed over projects, and supported each other during tough times. Our bond grew stronger every semester because we went through the same struggles and victories.
We were more than just classmates—we became like a family. There were misunderstandings sometimes, but they never outweighed the joy and memories we shared. Until now, I know that the friendships I built in high school will always hold a special place in my heart.
Aside from learning about EIM, high school also taught me life lessons. I learned the value of teamwork, perseverance, and respect. I realized that success is not measured only by grades but also by the effort and dedication you give. Most importantly, I discovered that challenges are not obstacles but opportunities to grow.
JOGGING(PERFORMANCE TASKS IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION)
My experience in our performance task of jogging at 4 AM from Pangdan to Jiabong together with my classmates and our PE teacher was both challenging and memorable. At first, it was difficult because we needed to wake up very early and prepare ourselves for a long jog. The cold morning breeze made it harder, but at the same time it was refreshing and gave us energy to keep going.
As we jogged together, I felt motivated because my classmates were beside me, and our PE teacher guided and encouraged us. The journey became lighter because we shared laughter, small conversations, and supported each other whenever someone got tired. It was also a good way to test our discipline, endurance, and teamwork.
When we finally reached Jiabong, I felt a sense of accomplishment. The tiredness was there, but it was replaced with happiness and pride because I was able to finish the task. This experience taught me the importance of perseverance, teamwork, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. It was not just a physical activity, but also a bonding moment that I will always remember.
BUWAN NG WIKA (ASEAN MONTH)
During the celebration of Buwan ng Wika and ASEAN Month, I had a very memorable experience. Together with my classmate Razel, we were assigned to make the poster banner for our section. At first, it felt like a big responsibility because the banner would represent our whole class, but with teamwork and creativity, we managed to finish it beautifully. It was fun to share ideas, combine our skills, and see the outcome of our hard work displayed during the event.
Aside from that, I also joined the poster making contest. I gave my best and enjoyed expressing my ideas through art. Even though I did not win, the experience taught me that joining is not always about winning but about learning, trying, and showing your talent with confidence. I was happy because I gained more experience, improved my creativity, and most of all, I learned to accept results positively.
Overall, my experience during Buwan ng Wika and ASEAN Month was meaningful. It reminded me of the importance of teamwork, creativity, and participation. What mattered most was not the awards but the lessons, memories, and the joy of celebrating culture with my classmates.
INTRAMURALS 2025
Intramurals 2025 was one of the most exciting and memorable events of my senior high school life. Each grade level prepared for the competitions with energy and determination, and it was inspiring to see the school filled with cheers, colors, and school spirit. The event allowed us to showcase not only our athletic skills but also our teamwork and unity as a grade level.
One of the highlights for me was being part of the cheerdance competition. We practiced hard, spent long hours preparing routines, and gave our best performance during the event. Even though we only landed in 3rd place, I was still very proud because we performed with confidence, discipline, and teamwork. The experience taught me that winning is not the only goal—it is about the bond we built, the memories we created, and the lessons we learned along the way.
Overall, the Intramurals 2025 was an unforgettable experience. It strengthened our camaraderie, taught us the value of sportsmanship, and gave us moments of fun and excitement that we will always treasure as student
ACQUAINTANCE PARTY 2025
My experience during our Grade 11 acquaintance party was truly unforgettable. It was my first time attending such an event in senior high school, and I felt both excited and nervous at the same time. The party gave us the chance to bond not only with our classmates but also with other sections and teachers.
There were fun activities, games, and presentations that made the event lively. I really enjoyed watching the performances. It was also a good opportunity to meet new friends and strengthen the connection with my classmates.
What I liked most about the acquaintance party was the atmosphere of joy and unity. Everyone was smiling, laughing, and simply enjoying the moment. It made me realize how important it is to have balance between studies and social activities.
Overall, my experience during the Grade 11 acquaintance party was special. It created happy memories that I will always treasure, and it reminded me that high school life is not only about academics but also about friendship, fun, and experiences that shape us.
FIRST PERFORMANCE TASK IN EIM
My experience during our first performance task in EIM, which was drawing five electrical tools, was both challenging and enjoyable. At first, I found it a bit difficult to capture the shapes and details of each tool, especially since accuracy is important in identifying them. However, as I continued, I became more focused and patient, and I started to enjoy the process of sketching. Through this task, I learned to recognize the basic tools like the pliers, hammer, soldering iron, flashlight, and drill, and it gave me a deeper appreciation of how important they are in electrical work. Overall, the activity not only improved my drawing skills but also helped me become more familiar with the tools that I will be using in our EIM strand.
TREE PLANTING (SCIENCE MONTH)
During the tree planting activity in Science Month, my experience was both enjoyable and meaningful. At first, I felt excited because it was my first time joining an event that directly helps the environment. Together with my classmates, we prepared the seedlings, dug small holes, and carefully planted each tree. Although it was a bit tiring and made us sweaty, I still felt happy because I knew that our simple action could help reduce pollution and give benefits for the future.
The activity also taught me teamwork, since we helped and guided each other while planting. Tree planting is about showing care for nature and responsibility for our community. Overall, the experience was memorable because it gave me the chance to contribute to protecting the environment while bonding with my classmates.
